Do you remember the dream you had last night?
Everyone dreams, but not everyone remembers it.
You don’t worry about it; the great Computing will help you soon. By scanning brain activity, it is now possible to decode what someone is watching. By 2050 it might be possible to actively monitor or download our dreams that will create some wonder in future!
Every day, the news media is giving more and more visibility to the effects of computing on our daily lives.
Computing is already everywhere. It is not just important; it is crucial and touches the root of civilization. ‘Computing everywhere’ also means connected devices everywhere and it makes the world more special.
Computing technologies accelerate on everything, not only the traditional desktop, portable, and laptop computers, but now also include wearable devices like Google Glass, Agent Smartwatch etc. and consumer goods like a car, washing machine, etc.

Journey with Computing
The history of computing can never be written in simple words because it’s the story of the human race as well. Computing is the story of confidence, ambition, passion, invention and creativity against limits of our mind and body. In short, it is the journey from the Abacus to the iPad, from Gutenberg to Google, from Enigma to GPS.
Computing everywhere refers to Mobility and Multiple screens or Sensors. We have now reached a mobile era that everyone around us has smartphones. “Phones and wearable devices are now part of an expanded computing environment. The mobile devices are just part of a world which reflects computing is everywhere and it is embedded in everyday objects, from our car to appliances and even on clothing. All these indicate that we’ll have new ways to interact with the world.
While promising to add great utility to people’s lives, most technologies depend on direct communication between human and a known device or application. In a real scenario, even at home or outside, people will also need help from services which are unknown to them. Let’s see some smart inventions from smart computing.
Smart Inventions
If the number of Internet-connected devices was 15 billion in the year 2015, it crossed 26.66 billion last year and predicted to reach 75 billion by 2025 (reference). Here ‘devices’ refers not only to smartphones, netbooks and tablets but also systems such as smart grids, intelligent transportation, healthcare monitoring, smart manufacturing, and environmental sensors etc.
It is impossible to predict what will be the next move on computing, anyways let us expect another great miracle as usual. We all co-evolved with computing in every aspect. Can you imagine going back to the world without computing? Life would be unthinkable without a smartphone, a tablet, or a laptop, because bits are the very oxygen that we breathe now, and we born in this digital world. So computing is the part of our lives; it is the oxygen we breathe, it colours our days and it’s our digital companion.
“The revolution is about to happen and it’s going to happen really fast! Let us continue our journey with this Digital Companion.”
