The Design House wanted to introduce a new loyalty app in the market that would help businesses to build loyalty with their customer by offering them an engaging and immerse treasure hunting experience.
AlignMinds developed a mobile-based solution using Native to help businesses to promote their offers and promotional programmes in the form of “Chests” that can be unlocked by registered users to claim real rewards and offers at respective stores.

The Design House (Now known as Glitch Creative Labs) is a marketing agency based in Texas, US and helps small businesses by offering them access to a team of creative talent to take care of businesses branding and marketing. From logos and letterheads to flyers and folders, they use all channels of marketing to help businesses achieve their targeted growth.
The design house wanted to introduce a new solution in the market that would help businesses to improve customer loyalty in an engaging and fun way.
The Design House wanted to develop a loyalty app that offers a similar experience of using a treasure hunt app for the users and help businesses to build loyalty with their customer.
The concept was developed around the idea of chests that will be shown on a map and opening them will reward users with points and loot that can be used later to claim real offers and discounts at the respective stores. To turn the concept into an engaging solution, we had to integrate different modules like navigation, map, point system, level system, and QR checker and make them work together as a single solution.
Our team developed a solution named Loot that offers an engaging, immersive treasure hunting experience to users and helps merchants to build loyalty with their customers.
When registered users log in to the app, they are shown several chests on the map based on their location. They can open challenges and win rewards by unlocking them. Later, the loot won by looting chests can be used to claim offers and discounts at the respective stores that installed the chests.
Merchants can install chests at their stores. When a registered user of Loot drive nearby the store, he will be shown on the map that chests are available at the merchant location and they can unlock it to win rewards. Merchants have the option to set discounts and special offers as a means to reward the customer. They can also set title, description and an expiry time for every chest they install.
For registered users, available chests will be shown on the map based on their location when they login to the platform. Opening chests will help them to unlock challenges and win rewards points, gems and loot. Rewards points (XP) helps them to go to the next level in the ranking and gems can be used to unlock hints while hunting for a chest. A use button will become visible once the user is within 20 yards from the store location and by clicking on it, users can claim respective rewards at the store. A QR code is assigned to every loot to help merchant verify the claim.
Chests are shown on the map based on the location of the user and opening them successfully help users to win loot, reward points and gems.
Loot is an offer or reward that is won by a registered user by opening chests. Each loot will have a separate QR code that can be scanned at the store to claim the offer or reward.
Registered users can log in using username and password or their Facebook or Google account.
Chests are distributed across a map based on the user location and the number of stores that have installed chests. The map updates real-time and helps users to find chests that are convenient to them based on the route they have taken and the distance.
The solution has an inbuilt navigation system which helps users to reach chests that are convenient to them. The image of the chest becomes much clearer when a user is navigating towards it.
Every successful loot helps users to win reward points and gems. The Gems can be used to unlock hints. Reward points or XP help a user to go the next level in the ranking.
The comprehensive user profile page shows the name of the user, profile picture, user level, the number of Loots claimed by user till date, the number of Chests user has unlocked so far and the number of gems the user owns.
The informative chest list comprises of three tabs where the first tab shows the list of all Chests, the second tab contains the list of Chests that are already discovered by the user and the third tab contains the list of Chests that are still hidden. Grey notification icon on Chests indicates that they contain challenges that are already seen by the user. If there is a new challenge in any of the discovered Chest, a green notification will be shown instead of grey. Merchant names will be shown with opened Chests.
Even though the final version of the app didn’t go live, the amount of interest shown by retail businesses inspired us to develop the solution into an advanced product that would help businesses to offer an engaging and fun experience to their customer and build customer loyalty.
